Kingman Group partner with Hydra UK to launch Kingman EVC

March 2023 marks the launch of an incredibly exciting new business venture for the Kingman Group. This venture has been made possible through an exclusive partnership between Kingman Group & Hydra UK – a well-established E V Charging brand in the UK with over 5,000 installations across the UK and Europe.

Kingman EVC is a welcomed addition to the Kingman Group, which already has well established businesses units in Kingman Signs, and Kingman Digital. Kingman Signs has been the premium sign manufacturer in WA for over 35 years and is the most awarded sign company in Australia. Under the leadership of Tim Webb, the Digital business unit is a market leader in the sale of digital screens and content.

Kingman EVC is a CPO (Charge Point Operator) and will bring the same industry leading expertise of its sister companies, to the incredibly aggressive emerging e-mobility market which is the Electric Vehicle Industry.

As stated by Hydra, “Kingman are one of the largest signage companies in Australia and have adopted the Hydra Apollo EV charge point with a 55” Panasonic screen as part of the company’s push into the digital media market.”

Kingman EVC stocks a complete range of AC and DC chargers with mixed outputs ranging from 7kW to 360kW fast chargers, to cater for all types of EV customers and location types.

EVC meets Digital Media with the launch of the Apollo which combines a huge 55” media screen with a 43kW AC EV charger that can be remotely managed to display any digital content you choose such as advertising, local promotions, news and information 24 hours a day. With dual output charging the Apollo can deliver up to 43kW to two EVs simultaneously while running from a standard three-phase electrical supply, cutting down on expensive infrastructure charges often required with some DC charge points.

The combination of advertising and EV charging creates significant marketing potential in a truly unique format which Kingman customers can use as an additional source of revenue, or an interactive media resource to engage with their users.

It is an exciting time for the Kingman Group to be launching this venture. EV charging is gathering momentum around the world, and it is time for Western Australia to get up to speed. The Federal Government has a target of 3.8m EV’s on the road by 2030. Without the EVC infrastructure to support this rapid growth, EV users are in for a bumpy ride.
