Kingman’s contribution to support conservation in WA

Kingman Visual has been working with Multiplex on the Karrinyup redevelopment project for quite some time as their preferred signage contractors. Multiplex’s Karrinyup Shopping Centre Redevelopment team have been working a volunteer organisation known as Stirling Natural Environment Coastcare (SNEC). This organisation works to restore, conserve and maintain sensitive coastlines for the City of Stirling and it’s community. They do this by completing site surveys, weed mapping, rubbish collection, planting of native species and erosion control. The group is constantly moving between approximately 6 km of coastline ranging between Peasholm Beach and Watermans Bay.

SNEC advised Multiplex that they required a mobile facility that could service the southern half of their coastal strip rather than having to load and transport materials from their HQ base located in Watermans Bay.

Multiplex proposed to adapt and kit out two 20 foot sea containers to provide them with secure storage/catering facilities for their volunteers operating on site. The containers also have very strong sustainability credentials as they are powered entirely by solar panels.

It was a requirement that Multiplex ensured the containers were stylish, presentable and promoted SNEC’s name and environmental work in partnership with the City of Stirling. This is where Kingman made a contribution by designing and installing a fantastic print.
