Carnarvon Pylon

Back in 2016 the team at Kingman designed and manufactured two big entry statement pylons for the Shire of Carnarvon. These two new pylons were designed around the shire’s rebrand at the time and incorporates their logo/branding. https://www.carnarvon.wa.gov.au/Home

This pylon was designed in-house by one of our talented 3D designers. The sign is fully fabricated from 3mm aluminium panels, 2Pac painted, with galvanised steel sub frame and supports. The aluminium panels have digital prints applied to the faces with gloss laminate coating to protect the prints.

The sign was finished off with 3mm router cut acrylic lettering with vinyl applied to faces which were then applied to the base of the sign.

When considering the design for this pylon, the team needed to consider the engineer’s drawings and certifications for cyclonic conditions.

Once the signs were completed, they were freighted to Carnarvon to be installed by others. We recently managed to get a good photo of these signs installed, when one of the team went on a trip up North. That’s how crazy about signage the Big K family is, even when on holidays, they go to photograph signs.

Even after a few years, these entry statement pylons are still looking as good as the day they left the factory back in 2016. What a stunning way to be greeted into a town after such a long journey from Perth.

This project was just another example of how Kingman will travel near and far to deliver quality signage all over Australia.
