Carey + Kingman Sign MOU

Carey Group has partnered with Kingman Visual to explore opportunities in the Visual Communications industry. Digital Signage is a $50bn global industry and presents exciting opportunities for this partnership.

Carey Group

Established by Daniel Tucker AM in 1995, Carey is the most successful 100% Indigenous-owned business in Australia. The name Carey was inspired by Lake Carey, a large inland salt lake, south of Laverton, Western Australia. The lake had been used for thousands of years by the traditional Wongatha people for maintaining traditional cultural practices.

Carey was established 27 years ago to provide opportunities for meaningful participation of Aboriginal people in the mining industry, It now employs over 450 people, of which 40% are Aboriginal to provide contracting services in Mining, Construction and Training.

Carey has developed strong and enduring relationships with its clients and government sectors, to create business and training opportunities, creating new horizons and pushing the boundaries for Indigenous business while working with partners, clients, and the broader community stakeholders to generate long-term sustainable outcomes.

This partnership will open up new pathways for Aboriginal training, employment, and participation on a range of projects in high-growth industries like Visual Communications. Carey’s registered training organisation (RTO), Carey Training, which trains over 3500 people annually in Western Australia and South Australia will play a key role in this partnership to create new industry entry pathways for Aboriginal people.

Kingman Visual is a market leader in the Visual Communications sector and has been involved in several high-profile projects around WA including the Optus Stadium and Karrinyup Shopping Centre. There are many exciting developments in WA including the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and large private and State Government funded projects such as Metronet, which present numerous opportunities for Aboriginal participation that Carey and Kingman will explore.
