Since 2014 Kingman has been delivering quality signage to Perth’s domestic and international airports. This includes internal and external signage, with a huge variety of sign types used throughout the facility. The Kingman quality clearly stands the test of time.

In 2016 Kingman won an award for the design, fabrication, and installation of the impressive landmark pylons located at T1 Domestic and T2 International airport. The design brief was to create something iconic with a design that was simple yet made a big statement. These pylons are sided with a steel subframe and 3mm aluminium cladding.

The pylons were designed using the Australian environment as inspiration. They are fully fabricated using stainless steel, with the lower illuminated section including digitally printed glass using ceramic inks and backlit using internal LED’s. One thing that was of major concern was the potential for damage to the glazing by baggage trolleys. This was overcome by designing tactile base plates that react badly with trolley wheels, therefore, discouraging driving trolleys across this area and protecting the glazed section. Letters are fabricated acrylic with LED illumination, edges are painted opaque to the same colour as the background for daytime aesthetics and elective night time illumination. Two pylons were designed for both the International and Domestic Terminals.
